Artistic Expression

Hannah has been doing quite a bit of art lately. I thought I would share some of it with you.
Here she has made a snowman for mom and dad. And a lightbulb for the girls.

Notice how bright and cheerful they are

And look at this cup she made for mom. I can't help but be happier when I see this pretty orange.

How about these hearts?  The one on the left is for Uncle Tony and Aunt Tara.  She even put her name on it so they would never forget who she is.

Even this camel for Anthony is cute.  Just in case he ever got a yearning for a camel he would have one at his disposal.

And then there is this.  Is it a nightmare she had?  Or just artistic expression?
Either way, it's pretty disturbing.  At least that's my artistic impression.

Just hanging around

These two girls have spent every possible minute together for the last 5 weeks.  They haven't argued once and they show no signs of getting tired of each other.  In fact they are constantly coming up with new things to do together.  What one doesn't think of the other one does.  Today they thought it would be fun to climb into the tree and hang around like monkeys.  When they finished with that they had to pose together.  I am glad that they get along so well but I wonder what they will do when they are no longer living with each other.

Max

This is Max.  He is one of the coolest dogs I know.

He makes a good bobblehead

A pretty good lapdog

And a great watchdog.  Get it?  Watchdog?  I crack myself up sometimes

He's also pretty darn laid back.

Morgan's Baptism

Morgan was baptized this morning at church.  It was very emotional for us but we are so excited for her.  I wanted to share some photos of the event.  Within a day or two we should have a slideshow put together for everyone to see.
Pastor Mick asking them if they understood what baptism was for and if they believed in God.

Miss Jen reading a letter Morgan wrote about why she wanted to be baptized while Pastor Jason helps her into the water.

Pastor Jason telling Morgan that he was baptizing her in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost

Dad and Morgan afterwards

It's a jungle in there

We took our first winter zoo trip a couple of weeks ago.  The weather was cold but not too chilly and we were once again battling cabin fever.  I gotta say, it was more fun than I expected - especially since it was six kids against one adult.  And yes, I survived intact.
This is the end of the trip and they are still smiling!!

For awhile we imagined we were in the tropics.  Then we went back outside and reality hit in the form of cold air.

If you ever want to let someone know they are slow tell them a sloth could do it faster.  I have never seen an animal move so slow in my life.

We had seals swimming above us and polar bears enjoying the ice.

I found these in a cave making primitive markings

How do we get in?

Lunch time

Picnics are great (and cheap)

We almost missed this one - he was camouflaged

All the boys could think about when they saw these rhinos was Ace Ventura

Monkey Love

People Love

Never smile at a crocodile....don't be taken in by his friendly grin, he's imagining how well you'll fit within his skin.
Who knows what I'm talking about?
Anybody?

Shannon:  "Aunt Brandi, come quick"
Me:  "What, what is it?"
Shannon:  "You have to come see this poor turtle who lost his shell!"
