Cake

Cerah finished her second cake decorating class Monday.  She brought home this:

Tuesday morning she woke up to this:

I went to Hell today

Yes, I did.  It was quite the trip for me.  Church in the morning and Hell in the afternoon.  We didn't even heed the signs warning us where we were headed.

We had to stop in anyway

We even brought our kids along for the ride

Whew, that's a lot of kids.  The one with her eyes squeezed shut is Liz.  Looks like she's the only one who's not sure she should be here

On a positive note, there's a church in Hell where you can profess your undying love for your mate

While the rest of us got a free ticket out.  Guess we were in the wrong place

And while the Newsboys were right - they don't serve breakfast in Hell (we checked)

they sure have a good sense of humor there

We decided it was time for an outdoor firepit.  So, over the course of a day we all pitched in and by the end of the day we had one made.  Unfortunately, it's been 5 days and we still haven't been able to use it as the weather hasn't been cooperating.

All we're waiting on is a a patio around it so we can sit out there on summer nights and roast weinies.

Sunday drive

We went on a couple of drives this weekend.  They were those Sunday drives where you just go at your own slow pace and end up wherever and take as long as you want and then head home again.  Both times our destination was the lake.  We wanted to take advantage of the little bit of warm weather we were having.  The lakes are big enough that we can close our eyes and imagine we're at the ocean.  All that's missing is the salt.  We took picnic lunches and I took lots of pictures and I am posting them here because I know there is nothing else you would rather see.

All in all we had a really good easter.  The kids enjoyed themselves and we had as much fun as they did.
