I see the moon

This was the scene at our house Saturday night. 

The kids were excited because it was a full moon, clear skies, and something special was going on with the moon.  I think it was the second or third full moon of the month.  So they all bundled up and went outside in minus zero degree weather to look at the moon through the telescope.

As for me, this view was good enough.  Especially since it meant I didn't have to go outside and have my nose hair freeze as soon as I opened the door.

Am I crazy?

I don't know whether I find these pictures crazy disturbing or insanely beautiful.

Either way my mental health is in question.

And I probably belong here.  Actually, it's an old prison in Salem, MA that's rumored to be haunted.  I wonder why.  It would make a really cool insane asylum wouldn't it?

The basement is done!

We finished our downstairs room yesterday.  It was a lot of hard work but I think it's worth it.  If you saw the pictures of what it looked like before you would agree.  We are talking late 60's, early 70's decor with the fake wood paneling and tile ceiling. 

The girls were so happy to have it done that they had to sleep in there last night.  They just threw down some blankets and pillows and then stayed up late giggling and talking.  I still made them get up early today.

Trust me, they weren't quite so happy this morning.
