Cross Country Trip 5

Better known as the reason we took a trip

Here's Uncle Aaron helping take the bathroom apart

This little piece of wood was the only thing holding the toilet up. Imagine having to call the fire dept and explaining this one.  "I'm stuck on my toilet in between my bathroom floor and my basement"

Here's Rob taking the rest of the bathroom apart

Getting ready to reinforce the bathroom joists

Doesn't that look better already?

New subflooring

New cement board

New tile and toilet (we've never been so happy to see a functioning toilet before)

New wainscoting, paint and accessories

New medicine cabinet, light, and vanity

Not a new bathtub

New bathtub shelf that won't rot away

This job took six LONG days but I think it was worth it in the end.  Rob did all the work and I did lots to screw him up and  prolong the job under the guise of helping.  It probably would have taken three days without my "help".
