Our Connecticut trip

Over the Memorial Day weekend we took a trip out to Connecticut.  Our first stop was the airport to drop Morgan off for her trip to Arizona.  Lucky girl!  Then, it was on the road for a 12 hour trip out.

They all started out well

But soon ended up like this

I suppose when all you see is this
Blue skies, green trees, and cars, it becomes tiring

We got in pretty late in the evening and so just went to bed.  In the morning we decided to go do a little sight seeing before we had to leave the next day.  We decided to go to the Mystic Shipyard so the kids could see it again.  We have been there before but the kids did not remember.
However, the prices to get in had been raised so Rob and Anthony went in while the rest of us waited outside on benches.  They got some good pictures though.

Once we had gone to the gift store we had to wait for the boys.  All the other shops were in town a few blocks away. I ended up with a severe case of allergies while we were waiting but Cerah took good care of me.

Once Rob and Anthony were done it was off to downtown

We waited here while my mom went and got some brownies from the ice cream shop across the street.  Boy, were they good!

Then, into the shops we went.  I couldn't buy anything but I enjoyed looking around and even took a couple of pictures of sayings that caught my eye.  My favorite is the cow - it made me laugh.

That was all we had time for so we headed back to Mom and Dad's to get packed and ready to leave the next day.  I didn't take any pictures of the trip home but let's just say it was eventful and a 12 hour trip turned into a 16 hour one before we were done.  Ah, memories....we never seem to manage a trip without making a few that we can look back and laugh at when at the time they don't seem funny at all.
